Supervision for Child and Adolescent Therapists
For all previous Oaklander training participants, Dr. Karen Hillman Fried offers supervision sessions. Supervision is designed to provide you with more in-depth knowledge, experience and practice with the Oaklander Model.
Sessions are two-hours each and take place on Sundays. Supervisions are in a small group setting with a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 10.
Dates: Sundays, July 2018 - April 2019 (make a selection below)
Time: 10 am - 12 pm
Cost: $75 per session
Begin with an experience
Discuss some aspect of theory
Q&A, including case consultation
Any aspect covered in the 3 Part Training
Review of the theory and opportunities to practice working as the client and therapist (for example, Self-Nurturing was suggested in the evaluations)
Marketing and Finances of a private practice
Grief and Loss (In addition to Violet's training, Karen is attending Our House's Grief and Loss 3-day training this summer and looks forward to incorporating their methods into this work.)
Incorporating learning and emotions
Case consultation - participants present cases and receive feedback from Karen and the group

About the Supervisor
Karen Hillman Fried, Psy.D. (MFT30667)
Karen Fried is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Educational Therapist. After taking Violet Oaklander’s two-week training program in 1995, she then was fortunate to begin consulting with her monthly for the past twenty-one years. A founding member of the Violet Solomon Oaklander Foundation (vsof.org) she is a current board member. Besides incorporating this model in private practice with children, adolescents and families, Dr. Fried also trains child and adolescent therapists in this model in the US, and Europe.
