I enthusiastically recommend this training program! Karen Fried, Lynn Stadler and Sue Talley are exemplary trainers. All three have trained extensively with me and are fine therapists, excellent teachers, good friends, and a great pleasure to be with. I know that this training will be an outstanding experience for those who have the good fortune to attend. I am delighted that they are continuing my work now that I no longer offer my own summer training.
— Violet Oaklander, PhD

Dr. Violet Oaklander's first book Windows to Our Children was published in 1978, and is available in 13 languages. Windows has been hugely successful, selling over 200,000 copies. For 35 years Violet devoted her life to writing, teaching, working as a psychotherapist, and traveling the world to train thousands of clinicians. Her second book, Hidden Treasure: A Map to the Child's Inner Self brings even more definition to the Oaklander Model.

Our training program provides the fundamentals of the Oaklander Model and applies Violet's creative projective Gestalt therapy to current clinical issues affecting children. The Oaklander Model's theoretical orientation allows therapists and trainers to develop an effective set of experiential tools that facilitate healing and growth in today's children and adolescents.

For 25 years Violet conducted intensive two-week Summer training programs in California. Her last summer training was in 2007. Our training program picks up where Violet left off. We have a new location -- in the hills of Malibu. With 30 years of combined experience working with Violet and the Oaklander Model, we are thrilled to share what we know with you, so that you can thrive in your work with children, adolescents and their families.
